Design Process
To many clients, the process of building or remodeling is daunting, at best. Part of my job in creating a successful project is to draw from my skills in organizing and managing projects to help you with the many countless decisions you will be making to complete the project to your satisfaction. I am able to empathize with the myriad of complicated issues that can arise through the design and construction process and can offer help to make the process hopefully more enjoyable than imagined. After all, I've just finished designing and building the second home for my family.
Pre-design:
I offer a free preliminary consultation to discuss your project. It is
a great way to see if I'm the designer that best suits your needs.
If you are ready to move ahead, we define the scope of the project,
along with the practical and aesthetic requirements. All site and structure
information is gathered and researched.
Design Development:
In this stage, ideas are compiled in sketches and CAD modeling. The basic
concept is input into a CAD program and presented to you. We make any
desired changes and a draft plans are presented for your review.
Construction Documentation:
The design gets refined and ready for submittal and construction. I remain
available for consultation during construction.
